Man needs to get smarter than microorganisms

Antibiotics are no longer an effective means of checking the virulence of pathogenic bacteria. This actually means that bacteria are getting smart. They no longer regard antibiotics as drugs to stop or inhibit their growth. Several cases of drug resistance bacteria have been reported.
The first reasonable question will be , 'how did bacteria get to develop resistance against drugs that has been initially used to stop their growth'? Most of the causes are man made and now they are striving to stand against any treatment by man, that will stop or suppress their growth.
Possible cause of bacteria resistance against antibiotics may be any or combination of the following

  • Food processing
  • Emergence of transgenic foods
  • Eating of foods and meat that has been pretreated with antibiotics
  • Taking less than the prescribed dose of antibiotic drugs
  • Stopping the treatment with antibiotics before the required days for the treatment
